Asserting oneself with kindness in a male-dominated environment

An unexpected life challenge

An unexpected life challenge
The year of her high school diploma, Sabrina's life was turned upside down. Her mother was struck by Guillain-Barré syndrome, a paralyzing illness. Between hospital visits and studying, the young high school student faced immense pressure. While many doubted her success, her partner believed in her and pushed her to hold on. To everyone's surprise, she passed her diploma on the first try with an average above 10. This difficult period forged a resilience in her that would never leave her.
Knowing how to defend your place

Knowing how to defend your place
After studying business, Sabrina joined Norauto in 2014 as an experienced sales associate, even though she had applied for a manager position. This first experience allowed her to develop her sales skills and better understand the realities of working in the field. Building on this experience, she continued to grow professionally and prepared to gradually take on management responsibilities.
The management breakthrough

The management breakthrough
To progress into management, Sabrina requested a transfer to another center. After a chaotic start due to the pandemic, she met a new director who became her mentor. He supported her, trained her, and was demanding, but above all, he believed in her potential. Thanks to this relationship of trust and her hard work, Sabrina finally achieved her ultimate goal: she was appointed Sales Manager in 2022.
Overcoming stereotypes daily

Overcoming stereotypes daily
In the automotive sector, clichés die hard. On the phone, male customers often assume Sabrina is the receptionist. When they ask to see the manager in case of a dispute, their surprise is total when they see her arrive. Yet, with her teams, the reality is quite different. As the only woman in her current center, she naturally asserts herself through her listening skills and exemplary behavior. She proves every day that leadership is not a question of gender.

Her job
Sabrina's job revolves around two main areas. On the one hand, sales: she welcomes customers, advises them on vehicle maintenance, and sells technical or comfort products. On the other hand, human management: she supervises her team, leads meetings, and ensures the well-being of her staff. To be credible and fair, Sabrina makes it a point of honor to stay on the shop floor, in direct contact with customers and her colleagues.
Her commitments and values
Sabrina is convinced that you should never let others dictate your choices. Faced with doubts or discouraging remarks, she encourages young people to give themselves the means to succeed and to take their chances. For her, fulfillment comes from pursuing your own goals, without settling for a default fallback option.

What Sabrina VASSALLE shares:
« You have to follow what you want to do and not necessarily listen to people who are sometimes negative. »
« Someone who has the desire, who sets a goal, if they give themselves the means, they must not give up. »
