1001 Role Models is a collaborative movement initiated by OVHcloud and 1001 Diversités and led by the 1001 Diversités association. The movement highlights unique journeys to inspire the creation of personalized stories for children and adults. By mobilizing companies, schools, institutions, and families, the movement aims to spark vocations, challenge stereotypes, and open up possibilities from an early age. The movement develops and provides shared educational resources—free and accessible to all.

Together, we imagined a simple yet ambitious movement: help children discover inspiring journeys and future-oriented careers, and bring to life personalized stories filled with meaning, openness, and dialogue.

The movement was born from a shared observation: too often, stereotypes about gender, background, or social environment shape children’s dreams and career choices from an early age. Yet the world of work is full of role models who deserve the spotlight: women in tech, men in care roles, people with disabilities, atypical paths, invisible talents...
So we decided to highlight these journeys and make them accessible to everyone in a playful, educational format.
A collective ambition
1001 Role Models was born from the desire of OVHcloud, a European cloud leader, to use technology to create positive impact on society. Committed for several years to a more inclusive digital world, the company acts for equal opportunity, diversity, and the fight against stereotypes, especially in tech careers.
In this momentum, OVHcloud wanted to go further by making often invisible talents visible through a movement accessible to the youngest. To do so, it partnered with 1001 Diversités, a Lille-based startup specialized in impactful personalized stories.
1001 Diversités turns stories into playful, engaging experiences for children by putting its authors and process at the service of storytelling. The 1001 Diversités association now leads this movement.
A movement open to everyone
1001 Role Models is far more than an editorial movement. It is a collective movement open to:

- Schools and associations that want to offer children positive, human, and accessible reference points.
