Cookie-free analytics and data protection
We use Plausible Analytics (self-hosted on OVHcloud) without cookies to improve the 1001 Role Models experience. No personal data is collected or shared with third parties.
What we measure
- Enriched page views (page type, language, device) to prioritize improvements.
- Outbound clicks, file downloads and form submissions (Plausible auto-tracking).
- Role model journeys: filters, card opens, engagement and 90% read depth.
- Assistant/coach: openings, messages, suggestion clicks, success/error to keep the experience reliable.
Data collected (no cookies)
- Anonymized IP (truncated) mapped to approximate country/city.
- User agent to distinguish desktop/mobile and detect bugs.
- Referrer, visited URL and the events above with business properties (slug, intent type, boolean indicators).
- Form fields are not stored: only counters (e.g., number of fields filled, presence of message/phone) are sent.
Legal basis and opt-out
- Legal basis: legitimate interest to improve the site and pedagogical quality.
- Opt-out: block the plausible.1oo1.org domain in your browser or contact [email protected].
Retention and sharing
- Plausible retention: 24 months by default (no extended retention in code).
- No sharing or resale: internal use only for 1001 Role Models / 1001 Diversités.
Forms and assistant
- The “Join” form collects name, email, organization, phone and message to process requests; it is handled exclusively on our OVHcloud servers (EU), no cookies involved.
- The pedagogical assistant stores a localStorage ID (“1001rm.assistant.clientId”) to resume conversations and, on role-model pages, a local suggestions snapshot (“1001rm.assistant.suggestions.v1”) to restore filters after refresh; messages are handled on our OVHcloud servers and not shared for marketing.
Onisep open data
- We reuse open data sets published by Onisep to power the educational information assistant.
- Purpose only: information, guidance and dissemination of educational knowledge, free access and public interest.
- Sources: Onisep open data sets (accessed 2025-12-16) under the Open Database License (ODbL v1.0).

Hosting and security
- The site 1001rolesmodeles.org and Plausible/apps are self-hosted on OVHcloud (EU).
- Code checked: no writes to document.cookie or browser storage for analytics.
